Sculpture in the City Children’s Tours
Through five engaging tours, children aged 6-12 years and their grown-ups can discover the sculptures in the 12th Edition and exciting new places in the City whilst understanding the real value of public art and architecture. They can then put their own creativity to the test by taking part in building their very own sculpture!

About Urban Learners:
The team includes young architects and creatives often from ‘non-traditional’ backgrounds, working together in a collective and collaborative environment to deliver Urban Learners‘ mission through creative experiences.
The team is led by Venetia Wolfenden who founded Urban Learners and consists of creative teams, students, and volunteers. Venetia has worked in the architecture sector for over 20 years, as both a qualified architect and education facilitator. After working as an architect for 12 years, Venetia decided to make a career shift and help young people explore and understand their built environment and studied MA Design Education at Goldsmiths College. Following this she was Open City’s education manager for 5 years where her work included the Accelerate into University and Architecture in Schools programmes. She has continued designing and managing design projects through voluntary work with local schools. These projects have included participatory design workshops, and a primary school playground project formed the basis of her MA independent research thesis.
