‘Sculpture in the City is like no other exhibition on our list. Instead of being confined to a studio, the open-air urban realm is its rotating gallery space, with 17 artworks dotted outdoors across the City of London district. This public art trail unveils a new collection each summer, animating the area’s iconic architecture for the enjoyment of both visitors and passers-by. Highlights this year include Richard Mackness’ gold leaf and enlarged version of a simple paper bag, Maya Rose Edwards’ interactive Kissing Gate installation and Arturo Herrera’s vibrant vinyl collage printed on the reverse of a staircase.’
